Hour!
Beginning Sunday, May 19, we are starting a new 2nd Hour to our
schedule. Worship will move to 9:30 am for both adults and students. After our
service, we will begin new classes and groups which are intended to grow our
body as well as our outreach. We are offering everything from Bible studies to
support groups. There is ‘something for everyone! Come and join us at
9:30 am for worship and 10:50 am for 2nd Hour groups and classes! Emerge student ministry will meet during the
10:50 am hour. Children’s programming is available during both hours for Nursery – 5th
grades.
CURRENT MESSAGE SERIES: Growing A Spiritual Life
Spirituality is a hot topic today. Many
people are exploring all kinds of sources of spirituality. We are all spiritual
beings. Yet, spiritual searches can lead us into some rather dangerous, if not
bizarre places. Some are merely seeking their own inner self in their quest.
Others find it acceptable to kill in the name of spirituality. How are we ever
to know the true quest of spiritual things?
Believe it or
not, the Bible has given us a clear indication of a healthy spiritual life.
Once you discover the source of healthy spiritual living, you can grow a
healthy spiritual life. Join us on a journey this Spring entitled, “Growing A Spiritual Life”. With God’s help in your life, it will be more than the grass and
trees that are bursting with life!

First we want to help people to Connect with God on an authentic basis. This is not about religious conformity or plastic clichés. No, we want people…people far from God, and people who have known Him for decades to move in close for a real, personal, and intimate relationship with Him. |
Next, we want to encourage and equip people to move into a Community with Others. We need each other. Yet, for past hurts, broken trust, or personal issues, we tend to keep others at a distance. Real community, though, is the place that God has created for us to experience the journey of life. It is here that we share each other’s burdens, victories, and love.

The third leg of our mission is to share Compassion with our Community. We cannot be obedient to our calling to follow Jesus Christ until we have engaged in genuine action and compassion for the least, the last, and the lost. So, we will seek to be the hands, feet, mouth, ears, and heart of Jesus to a hurting world around us. We must show them that there is a loving Savior who loves them and cares deeply for them. |
