In 2006 a group of people believed in the simple, but profound concept that grace and people really could meet. These people fully understood the concept of what grace can do. Having experienced grace, or a lack of it, they were passionate about God and His amazing gift of grace. They wanted to share that passion with others in an environment that was really, truly accepting, encouraging, ridiculously in love with God, not judgmental, open to anyone, just as you are right now. This group of people, touched by God’s grace and forgiveness, was led by John Jackson.
On the cold morning of Sunday November 11, 2006, our first service was held at Cline Elementary School. With over 450 people in attendance we realized that this was a truly God-given vision, passion, and purpose. It had to be, why else would people sit for an hour and a half in stiff wooden gymnasium chairs from the 60’s? Although we’ve been meeting temporarily at the Washington Township Recreation West Center, God has provided us with a new home for our future. In March of 2008, we purchased ten acres on Yankee Street in Centerville and are currently working on our building plans. Our goal has always been to be a different kind of church and this will be evident in our new ministry facility. A safe environment that people can find hope and redemption. As Pastor John has said many times, “we don’t care about where you have been, we care about where you’re going”. We care about where you are headed on this journey through life.
This journey for us is not about the past, it is about the future God has already planned.
We care about your heart.
We want you to experience God’s grace.
We want your connection with Christ to radically change your life.
We want you to grow in community.
We want to inspire our community with compassion.
It is only when you have been touched by God’s grace that you will fully understand the hope He has for you. We invite you to experience God’s Grace. We invite you be changed. We would love to be part of the journey with you. Grace and Peace to you.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
