The Gathering is a group of people who are committed to experiencing and expressing God's grace in the world around us. Believing that following in the footsteps of Jesus takes us to the sick, the broken, and the distressed, we want to be known as friends of people who are 'far from God.' Rather than adding to the hurts that already exist in life, we are committed to bringing hope to hurting hearts. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

The Gathering is committed to being an authentic place where it is safe for people to be themselves. We will not hide behind pretense or religion. Instead, we are allowing the amazing grace of Jesus Christ to transform us into people who look, act, and think like He would if He were walking our streets today. God loves us just as we are, but He also loves us too much to leave us that way.
