In his book, "Scribbling in the Sand," Michael Card wrote, "A community by definition is a place with protective walls. It seems we are always talking about 'breaking down walls,' walls between races, between sexes and so on. And certainly these barriers do need to come down. What we don't talk enough about is the building of walls -- walls to protect our brothers and sisters, walls to redemptively keep out certain aspects of the world. We need protective walls, which is to say we need community, which is to say that we need God." At The Gathering, we seek to build protective walls -- walls that help to connect, restore, love and grow deeper in a relationship with Christ. This happens in a network of small communities or small groups.

Men's Small Groups: Men have so many responsibilities to juggle while being husbands, fathers, employees, bosses; the list is endless. Holding strong to their Christian values while balancing all of life's responsibilities can be a burden for men. The Men's Small Groups at The Gathering are times when men can connect with one another on a personal level, share life's struggles and triumphs together, and truly study God's Word to understand what it means to be a godly man in an ungodly world. True accountability, prayer, and service are key elements to these small groups. Choose from a variety of times and locations.

Dane and Shana Fuller are responsible for leading and coordinating the couples’ small group ministry at The Gathering and have a passion for seeing lives changed through small groups. They believe that God’s Word, His Holy Spirit, and the influence of other believers have all played an essential role in their spiritual growth and love for Jesus.
